The Philippine Heritage Laws section of the ICOMOS Philippines library is devoted to the enacted heritage laws and proposed laws in the Philippines from the Commonwealth era to the present. This section has been created to give the public an overview of the state of the Philippines’ direction and advocacy regarding preservation of heritage and culture. From these legislatures, we can view how the Philippine government gives importance to its culture, arts, and heritage. In addition, the Philippine Heritage Laws section can also provide an overview of the changes in Constitution, and of power given to the government in certain eras of the Philippines’ history.
